The expedition is the purest form of mountain activity and in England it is commonly called ‘Wild Camping’. It is exactly what it says, Camping in the wild, in short! The idea is that we spend 72 hours in the mountains and do not go down until the end of the expedition. You will have to carry everything you need for these three days in your rucksack. We have to carry food, tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat. It can be quite heavy but that is part of the challenge. In my opinion, there is no better way to explore the mountains. This trip is for people who are seeking an experience at a completely different level of challenge. On this trip you can find yourself. You need to be fit enough to carry a heavy rucksack in mountain terrain for three consecutive days. The list of items needed is slightly longer and different from the one given on this page. However, I will send an individual list to those interested in the expedition. I can highly recommend it as it is my favourite way of spending time in the mountains.
We will be out on the hills for 3 consecutive days, so a good level of fitness is required. If you would like any advice as to how fit you need to be please get in contact for some advice.
This trip is run on a maximum ratio of 1 guide to every 8 clients.
The Expedition costs £110 per person. (min 2 participants in the Lakes, and min 4 in Snowdonia)
